Itinerary

Day 01 Entry Kunming
Arrive in Kunming, our guide will meet you at the airport, visit the Western Hills by the Dianchi Lake and the Daguan Park.

Western Hills: Located 15km west of Kunming, Western Hills is a range of four mountains stretching over 40 kilometers along the western shore of the Dianchi Lake looking like a Sleeping Beauty with long tresses trailing away to the south. Totally cut on a natural precipice, Dragon Gate is the highlight of Western Hills. Many inscriptions and steles are found here and there in Dragon Gate.
Daguan Park: First built in 1682 by a monk, is known for its longest antithetical couplet in China.

Day 02 Kunming - Stone Forest - Xishuangbanna / (B+L)
After breakfast, drive 1.5 hours (90 KM) to visit the Stone Forest. Back to Kunming in the afternoon and visit the Golden Temple. Take evening flight to Xishuangbanna

Stone Forest: A massive collection of grey limestone pillars, split by rain water and eroded to their present fanciful forms.
Golden Temple: Originally built in 1604 during the Ming dynasty. Built in 1890 with 250 tons of solid bronze, the present tem ple, 6.7 meters in height and 7.8 meters in width, is reputed as the largest bronze hall in China.

Day 03 Xishuangbanna / (B+L)
Renowned as a huge natural zoo, Xishuangbanna's rain forest and monsoon jungles provide a habitat for more than 500 species of terrestrial vertebrates. over 300 species of birds, over 40 species of amphibious animals and more than 60 species of reptiles, including the boa constrictor.
Visit the Morning Ganlanba bazaar, the Tropical Plant Research Institute and a village of Dai people.

Day 04 Xishuangbanna --- Kunming / (B+L)
Visit the Jingzhen Octagonal Pavilion, Villages of Aini people and the Manting Park. Take evening flight back to Kunming.

Jingzhen Octagonal Pavilion: Constructed in 1701 through the joint efforts of the Han and Dai peoples. The pagoda consists of a platform, a body and a top. Its total height is 15.4 meters, with a 2 meter-tall and 8.6 meter-wide platform and a 5 meter-high body. A copper sculpture of Sakyamuni is enshrined inside.

Day 05 Kunming - Exit / (B+L)
Visit the Qiongzhu Temple. Transfer to the airport and see you off.

Qiongzhu Temple: The first temple built after Zen Buddhist had been introduced to Yunnan early in 1279.

Includes:

1. Hotel accommodation
The hotel is based on two persons sharing one twin or double standard room with private facilities.

2. Meals
Daily American or Chinese breakfast at the hotel, Chinese lunch and dinner in local Chinese restaurant as specified in the itinerary. B - Breakfast, L - Lunch, D - Dinner.

3. Private Transport
Private transport between airport or railway station and hotel and all the sights by air-conditioned vehicle.

4. Transportation between Cities
The economic class air tickets of the domestic flight or soft berth/seat train tickets between cities as specified in the itinerary.

5. Entrance tickets
The main entrance tickets for the sights mentioned.

6. Guiding service
Excellent tour Guiding. All normal sightseeing tours in each city with English-speaking guide and admission fees where applicable. Our guide will not fly with you from one city to another. Upon your arrival at each city, a new local guide and driver will pick you up, be with you for local tour and see you off after you finish the itinerary of each city. The cruise shore excursion is in-group assigned by the cruise company.

7. Insurance
China Life Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from you country of origin.

8. Tibet Travel Permit application fee
The Tibet Travel Permit application fee if your tour covers Tibet.

Excludes:

1. Visa Fees
Charge of obtaining your visa to enter China.
2. Charge of arrival and departure
The international or domestic air / train charge of arrival and departure.
3. Single Room Supplement
Should a twin room is needed by a single guest, supplement of the twin room will be charged.
4. Personal Expenses
Expenses of a personal nature such as laundry, drinks, fax, telephone call, optional activities or sightseeing, overweight baggage charges or meals not indicated, ect.
5. Optional Programs
Optional programs which are not specified in the above itinerary.
6. Tips to guides and drivers
Suggested tips: USD12 to tour guide per day, USD 8 to driver per day, but depending on their service, it's up to you.
