For those interested in religion, may go to the Big Dongguan Mosque,one of the four biggest in the Northwest China.Constructed in 1380,this mosque is in the shape of traditional Chinese palace style,graceful and immense. For those who hunt for historical sites, can climb to the Beichan Temple halfway up the Mount Beishan .First built in the Han and Wei Dynasties, you can still find vivid Buddhist murals in some caves. With the passage of time, it becomes a Taoist temple now. For those who seek in Qinghai history, the best choice is to go into Qinghai Provincial Museum. Occupying an area of 30.000sq.m. It is a key historical site under provincial protection. This museum preserved many ancient Chinese art crafts of stone, bone, pottery and bronze, including bronze seals.There are also some Persia silver coins and Buddhist sutras. For those who wish to get away from hot summer, Xining is an ideal place. The climate here is pleasant with an average temperature of 17 centigrade, more like spring than summer. Being one of the five pastoral areas, Qinghai’s animal husbandry is very prosperous, which provides tourists the best condition for sightseeing, folk custom visiting and special tours including: riding and trekking around Qinghai lake. The main peak Anyemaqen is 6282m.above sea level covered with snow all year round.Guoluo mountain stays in Jiuzhi County. With an elevation of 5369m.its main peak Nianbaoyuze is said the birth place of Guoluo Tibetan, hence regarded the divine mountain.Both Anyemaqen and Guoluo mountain have been open for tourists for many years.
